Philippians 4:4-7 in Te Reo Māori!

Hi all,

I recently bought a Bible (Paipera Tapu) translated into Te Reo Māori and so I thought I'd share with you the main verse from this blog in Māori! :) It's such a beautiful language, don't you think?

God bless!

Challenging Quotes

On Pinterest lately I have been coming across many scripture references and quotes to help and encourage us during difficult times. So many, in fact, that I have a pin board devoted to the subject which can be found here:

I thought I'd share some with you, and I pray that they might encourage and challenge you if you are in the midst of trials! All images courtesy of Pinterest.

Wow, these quotes really speak for themselves don't they? I hope you found them as challenging as I did!!!

God bless!

Rejoice in the Lord by Ron Hamilton

Hi all!

I heard this the other day and I thought I would share it with you all as not only does it cary the same name as this blog, but the lyrics are AMAZING and so, so true! I would also ask you to pray for an elderly friend of mine who is in hospital, that they might feel the truth of these words during such a trying time.

 God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.

O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified,

I shall come forth as gold.

I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.

Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

God bless!

Why Bad Things Happen ~ Joni Eareckson Tada

Hi all!

I just want to strongly encourage you to go to and check out this amazing explanation Joni Eareckson Tada gives for why God allows suffering.

Here are some neat snippets from it:

Regarding the blog series, I will only be posting for it every so often (Lord willing, varying from once a fortnight to once a month) and gradually building it up (with my own normal blog posts in between), so I apologise if I'm keeping anyone in suspense! :P But Lord willing and by His timing I will be posting those, so watch this space! :)
